On Friday, the mother of murdered Georgia nursing student Laken Riley slammed President Biden for butchering her daughter's name during the annual State of the Union address on Thursday evening.

The incident was described by critics as the defining moment of Biden's disastrous presidency.

"Biden does not even KNOW my child's name - it (sic) pathetic!" wrote Allyson Phillips on Facebook in response to a comment.

"If you are going to say her name (even when forced to do so) at least say the right name!" she added.

Biden had been pressured by Republicans in Congress to acknowledge Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student who was allegedly killed last month in a brutal assault by an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, Jose Ibarra, 26.

During President Biden's speech, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) shouted at the president to properly acknowledge the death of Riley, something that the president has not yet done.

"Say her name!" shouted MTG from the audience.

Succumbing to the pressure, Biden finally acknowledged Riley's death. However, he butchered Laken's name.

"Lincoln Riley," Biden shouted back.

The critical remarks made by Allyson Phillips were the first time the family has publicly criticized the president surrounding Riley's death, which GOP lawmakers strongly claim could have been prevented had it not been for the Biden administration's open border policies.

On Thursday, the House of Representatives passed the Laken Riley Act by a vote of 251 to 170, with all the Nays coming from Democrats.

If signed into law, the legislation would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to force the Department of Homeland Security to detain anyone who entered the country unlawfully and "is charged with, is arrested for, is convicted of, admits having committed, or admits committing acts which constitute the essential elements of any burglary, theft, larceny, or shoplifting offense."

Laken's alleged killer, Jose Ibarra, had been arrested in NYC on prior criminal child endangerment charges before moving to Georgia to live with his brother, who is also a Venezeualan illegal immigrant. Within a few months after moving to Georgia, Ibarra, who is believed to be an active member of the violent Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang, has been accused of murdering Riley by blunt force trauma to the head while she was on a jog near campus.

Furthermore, in his SOTU address, President Biden acknowledged that Riley was murdered by an illegal immigrant. The declaration failed to sit well with Democrats in Congress who criticized the president after the speech for not referring to the illegal immigrant murder suspect as an "undocumented" person.

Biden was asked by reporters about the backlash from Democrats on Friday. The president failed to refer to Ibarra as an illegal immigrant, skated around the comment, and instead said, "Technically he's not supposed to be here."
